Luke 15:1-10
Meeting God in a Grief-Filled Week

When sad and terrible things happen, particularly those with long and complicated histories, it can be hard to notice what God is doing.

This week, we watched as mass murders at the James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon, Saskatchewan launched an interprovincial manhunt.

Just two days later, Queen Elizabeth II died. Even as many grieve, these two events raise questions of the legacy of colonialism.

A long healing journey stretches out ahead; it's important to pause here and remember what kind of God goes before us.
