Worshiping God in the Anglican Christian tradition, St. Columba is for everyone seeking meaning, community, purpose, spiritual sustenance, growth, and most of all a closer relationship with God who loves us and is active in our world.
We are located--geographically and theologically--between Roman Catholic and Evangelical churches. We maintain a sacramental worldview and rest firmly within the historic creeds and beliefs of the Christian Church (click "Our Beliefs" below), made real in our lives and world through the activity of the Holy Spirit. At the same time, we embrace an inclusive understanding of church membership and leadership. All sacraments and full participation in the Anglican Church of Canada are open to all humans, including those identifying as 2SLGBTQ+. Our faith in God grows through prayer, immersion in the Bible, community, and engaging with all aspects of our Christian story together. We believe a relationship with God through Jesus Christ guides a well-lived life from birth to death. (Click on "Frequently Asked Questions" below for more about what we believe and how we pray.)
The ACW (Anglican Church Women) meets monthly for service, fellowship, and fun.
Our enthusiastic music team welcomes anyone who would like to share their musical gifts.
Through the larger family of the Anglican Diocese of Edmonton, we participate in learning, Christian formation, service, social justice and reconciliation initiatives, and ecumenical and interfaith partnerships. We engage in youth programming with other parishes on the south side of the Diocese.
We are part of the Anglican Church of Canada and the worldwide Anglican Communion, and are also in full communion with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, the Moravian Church in Canada, The Episcopal Church (USA), and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
