John the Baptist explodes on the scene, crying out with prophetic fervour for all to turn their hearts to God. As the forerunner of the Messiah, he announces the greatest disruption the world has yet to face: the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We too can hear the prophets' call to attend to the ways God is alive, active and at work here and now.
