Christmas is a bright and festive time. But at its heart, the story of the birth of Jesus draws us in to the love and generosity of God. Jesus is Emmanuel, or God who is with us. In Jesus, God shares our vulnerability, walks with us through our joys and struggles, and ultimately will destroy death for us. We are never alone, and God is not distant.
